\nConnected Health Care is seeking a Local Travel Nuclear Med Tech to join a premier healthcare facility in Rancho Mirage, CA. This is a 13-week contract position with competitive weekly pay up to $3,000 , depending on experience. Our client values quality, patient-centered care and seeks a dedicated Nuclear Medicine professional to join their team.
\n Job Description / Duties: \n

\n\t
• Perform nuclear medicine imaging and therapeutic procedures\n\t
• Prepare patients for procedures, including scheduling and pre-procedure instructions\n\t
• Operate nuclear medicine cameras and auxiliary imaging equipment following protocols\n\t
• Ensure accurate record keeping and adherence to radiation safety regulations\n\t
• Demonstrate proficiency in all nuclear medicine procedures, including special positioning of patients\n\t
• Calibrate and prepare radiopharmaceutical materials for administration\n\t
• Calculate patient study results and account for radioactive decay\n\t
• Review instrument calibration data and report malfunctions\n\t
• Monitor physiological status and care of patients during procedures\n\t
• Maintain proficiency in IV line placement and proper injection techniques\n\t
• Track and manage inventory of radiopharmaceuticals and supplies\n\t
• Submit nuclear charge tickets for each patient procedure\n\t
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medications used in nuclear medicine\n\t
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or physicians\n

\n Education / Licensure / Certification Requirements: \n\n

\n\t
• Required: Graduate of an Accredited School of Nuclear Medicine Technology\n\t
• Required: ARRT, NMTCB, or ASCP certification\n\t
• Required: California State License\n\t
• Required: American Heart Association BLS Certification\n\t
• Experience: New graduates welcome; 1-3 years of experience preferred\n
