Job Description

A Guidance, Navigation and Controls (GN&C) engineering job at Edwards AFB, CA 93524 is currently available through Belcan at one of our key engineering clients. To be considered for this role, you will have a Bachelor's degree in Software, Systems or Aerospace engineering, and 5+ years of relevant experience working with guidance and navigation systems in a highly dynamic environment. Experience with military systems is essential to support of this customer. Additionally, experience with aircraft flight testing is a plus. Secret Clearance is REQUIRED! Job Duties:
· Design and test military navigation and guidance systems
· Develop requirements verification methods
· Support flight testing of critical flight systems
· Analyze GNC system functionality to identify gaps and resolve issues
· Work with customer to analyze data to improve and enhance requirements and functionality of systems Required Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Software, Systems or Aerospace engineering
· 5+ years" of experience developing requirements, designing, and testing navigation and guidance systems
· Experience with inertial measurement units and GPS aided guidance
· Background with tactical military aircraft
· Experience in flight test support
· Experience working in multi-disciplinary design, development, and test teams
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Due to the nature of the work performed, US Citizenship is a requirement. · Current Secret Clearance is required! Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
· Strong problem-solving skills and creative thinker motivated to apply technical standards and methodologies to develop solutions
· Proficient in the design, analysis, and test of flight vehicle management systems
· Experience with flight software development
· Adept at designing and certifying to military standards
· Collaborative team player with the ability to provide technical leadership and position others for success
· Self-starter that can perform independently with minimal direction We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary range of $110,000 to $165,000. Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
