Job Description Exceed service standards by providing customers with prompt, quality coffee selection, purchase, and preparation. Responsibilities Model Customer 1st behavior; deliver and encourage other associates to deliver excellent customer service Promote and follow company initiatives Greet customers, answer questions, and suggest products to enhance service and meet sales goals Maintain cleanliness of customer service area and equipment Prepare a variety of customer beverage orders such as espresso drinks and Coffee of the Day to standard Follow store policies and procedures Perform cleaning tasks in accordance with the duty rosters and cleaning standards Follow standards for merchandising, stocking, rotating, and storing all products Follow cash handling and register policies Follow inventory stocking and recording guidelines Work cooperatively in a high-paced and sometimes stressful environment Manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational, and cooperative manner Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information Follow directions and seek assistance when necessary to resolve customer and business issues Provide support and assistance through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and/or older adults Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation Qualifications Minimum High school diploma or GED, plus six months of customer service experience; or relevant education and experience Ability to complete initial store training and pass barista certification with a score of 90% or better Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Willingness to work weekends, any shift, and overtime as needed Accuracy and attention to detail Ability to organize and prioritize tasks/projects Desired Knowledge of company policies, procedures, and organizational structure Familiarity with industry/technical terms and processes About Us Based in Illinois, Mariano’s merged with The Kroger Company in 2015.
